Should I buy the Nautilus T516 Treadmill?

Great treadmill

Easy to assemble - hardly anything to do.
Very sturdy and can take a fast run.
Fan has good velocity unlike other gym treadmill fans I've encountered.
Really like the speed and incline toggles on the arms. Very convenient.

Worth the money

Got the treadmill a few weeks ago and love it! It was easy to assemble, heavy, but we didn't have any trouble. I use it for running and it is very solid. I like the fan because you can control the flow of air. It has many programs from which to choose. The ability to control the speed and incline from the handlebars is also a really nice feature. The only setback is that it is hard to move around.

Nautilus T516

We replaced our 15 yr. old NordicTrak with this Nautilus. I was having some tendonitis in my calves and Achilles on our NordicTrak that I contributed to old age (46yrs). I have not had any leg issues since I've used the Nautilus; I guess the cushioning of the NordicTrak was affecting me negatively. The Nautilus treadmill is extremely quiet so we don't have to turn up the stereo. It has incredible range for speed and incline unlike many others. This is an incredible machine for the price!

An Awesome Treadmill with a couple of issues.

I have been using this treadmill since Jan 03, 2010. It was delivered on a wood pallet and left in my driveway. It weighs around 220 lbs and you definitely need at least two if not three people to move this to whatever room you need to assemble it in. I'm 29 yrs old,6ft tall and 195lbs and I ordered this because I needed the treadmill to accommodate my stride at a full sprint and be able to support my weight. This treadmill has been able to do all of this with room to spare. This is a heavy duty treadmill and it provides a right amount of cushioning and dampens the impacts of running and my knees and ankles don't take to much of a beating after my sessions. There are a couple of issues though that I don't like about the treadmill. The treadmill makes an audible beep after every minute that you have been running. This is not a deal breaker but like many of you out there I try not to pay too much attention on the elapsed time and cover the display with a towel but that "beep" always lets me know that another minute just went by and it just annoys me that I can't turn that off. Also, there are only five buttons for the speed selection, 2,4,6,8,10. It goes up a liitle faster than 10 but those are the buttons that are on the main display. I like to do interval training and run from 6.5 mph to 11.5 back and forth. So I have to do a lot of button pressing to achieve this. There are to many increments that this machine goes off of.For example at the gym treadmills to go from the previous stated speeds, 6.5 to 11.5 and back, from 6.5 i would just be able to punch in 1-1-.-5-enter and I am running at 11.5mph. On this treadmill from 6.5 to 11.5 I have to press, 10,enter,and manually increase the speed by a tenth of a mile from 10mph,10.1,10.2,10.3,10.4,10.5,10.6,10.7,etc. until I get to 11.5mph. So this is pretty tedious especially when I have been doing a couple of rounds and I'm getting tired. I probably wouldn't have bought this treadmill if I had known about these two issues but the treadmill still gives me the ability to train on it aggressively and not have to worry that its going to break. Overall a good piece of gear.

Space Saver, Very good

I was looking for a treadmill and I was recommended nautilus by one of my friends. She has a exercise bike and I used it too and I found it very good.

I am about 170 pounds and the motor is pretty smooth with good cushion. I run with flat sole shoes and there is enough grip and the cushion is also soft at the same time. Integrated heart rate feature is pretty good.

Setting up the machine was really easy [the wheels came in handy] and also I really like the feature of setting up the treadmill vertically, just in case you need more space.

The workout levels look almost the same as that in my gym [flat, incline, hill, jog etc.] and I dont use most of them and hence cannot comment on them.

I do not know how power makes a difference and i refrain to comment on this as well. For power runners, my instructor recommends sport series. For regular workouts, this model is pretty effective and also cheap. [http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00275R2T8?ie=UTF8&tag=aisn-20&creativeASIN=B00275R2T8 ]

Things I wish were better or included.
1. I prefer longer arm rests. I started with one that has long arm rests and I prefer that.
2. Bigger/depper racks/ holders. Just enough space to hold my ipod touch? [These two reasons should be addressed to make this a 5star product]
3. A cheaper price, I don't care much about the power, but lower price models are very hard to assemble and also occupies a lot of space.

Over all, I am very much satisfied with this. And there is enough warranty as well.
